im thinking about cutting off the muffler and doing a straight pipe. will it give me a deeper sound atleast?

ive seen people on here doing it. besides a fart can, what can i put on it thats under 100 dollars. and does this void my waranty

 

just get a stock sstc exhaust and swap the muffler for a magnaflow

 

im not wanting to put to much into this POS, i just want a little bit more sound

 

then just a stock ss/tc exhaust itst he cheapest or even a stock ss/sc

 

what do they run usualy?

If you straight pipe it it will only sound good if it is a side exit before the tire with no resignator/muffler and you have to have some type of aftermarket header. I ran JBP header, stock DP no catback for a couple months and it was beasty as hell.

 

he would also have to change the downpipe to catback flange as the TC uses 3 bolt. but thats all.

muffler-less on a n/a 4 banger generally sounds like ****.

 

^^ yes it does! i took my balt for a quick drive after hacking my muffler off and it did sound like ass.. very loud with a very annoying drone! i was so happy once i got my new muffler on after that quick 5 minute drive u have no idea!

 

lo yeah i had one of the exhaust clamps on my catback come apart and damn was that **** loud. even with the windows up i couldnt stand it.

 

Try running open header for a few days... I hated the sound and volume.
