Fast ticking sound after installings intake

ok so i install k&n 69-4515TS intake and noticed a fast ticking sound is this normal ? thanks in advance

check to make sure u tighten the nits on the heatshield right, think about anything metal that might be rubbing, remember the engine does shake

On my CAI I had to install a piece of weatherstripping with tape to keep it from rubbing.

weatherstipping FTW when you have a CAI, i used it and wrapped the inside lip of the opening to the fender..lol

I think i did it right i tightent the hell out of everything and there is still this very fast ticking sound from the engine. when i removed the oem intake to took a lot of plastic out of the engine compartment it could have always been there. idk

Anyway you can record it and put the camera close to where the spot is coming from.

Noice complaints are the HARDEST to solve without being there in person.

well i have to ask a firend of mine what is the issue tomorrow thanks for the help tho

u might just have to deal with it for now, i know my exhaust rattles sometimes b/c on pipe is touching to close to something on the car,i fix'd it, but i had to deal with it until i had time to go down and fix it

The ticking you are hearing is your injectors firing, this is perfectly NORMAL.

Our injectors are really loud, especially if you remove the engine cover.

these engines make alot of valve noise....the CAI just makes it louder due to the fact that a metal pipe reflects sound rather than absorbing it...

i noticed the same thing, when i put my stock intake stuff back on, including that huge shoebox of a silencer its all quieted down a little
