Did you get a base dyno before the tune?

as the suspension attatchment locations for the whole cobalt line are the same im sure they can be used, however the knuckles on the 2.2 with the 4 lug pattern don't have the weakness that the five lug cars do. ive thrown mine around plenty and haven't had any issues with knuckles

and to NWAE keep us posted on the availability of this tune

You will start to loose power over 7k RPMs due to the cam profile!

I'm not sure if you were referring to me asking about the rev limiter, but the reason I want to adjust the rev limiter is for a different cam that will make more power at 7000 rpm. I am going to turbo my 2.2 and use the comp cams "turbo" grind that makes its power up at 7K.

honestly id wait because it will be cheaper than the aem gaurenteed.. plus youll wont have a box always sitting there and if the piggyback device would ever die so would your car alone with it because you wouldnt be able to catch it in time..

this should be able to be bought in the month of march.. somewhere in there.. how far do you live from the original poster Tom?? because I know he could tune it for you in person also when this is done, and yes he can do the email tune for the tuner if you dont want to drive down there..

There is a lot of options in the air.. the gt tuner is getting to the point of being about to be bought instead of rented, and just straight laptop tuning is also in the air.. laptop would be the best way for people to make on the fly tunes without having to upload stuff to a computer..

If you dont mind waiting UP TO a month than id wait.. its up to you

I really think with some nice write-ups on how to tune the car for simple bolt ons along with a few other things and more people would be apt to buying the computer software or buy the GT tuner out right.

So you said the GT tuner reads the car when hooked up. Does that mean it could possibly data log for a potential buyer and show it to us via computer? Cause that would be amazing as well.

i believe so, i no it takes pc software to read it and to send it back somehow with the software to email.. I will have to ask vince when hes a tad bit more free.. I will be finding out a lot more this week as the tune is getting near its finalized state.. This tune should be out in March.. When in march i dont know, but all that needs done, is the TCM on the autos to be finished, then a dyno run, little bits of fixing this and that, and it will be done..

even thrown your balt around some turn's dont mean the controll arm's are under as much stress as the 2.4 and the SS/SC.. they BOTH have 18's on em stock and that mean's 50+ pound corner weight's.. which could lead to snapping controll arm's and axel damage cause of controll arm damage. ive personally NEVER herd of a issue with an IRL controll arm.. maybe it's cause they have 30 pound corner weight's..

UPDATE FROM Vince:

He should be able to:

SAI secondary air injection :delete:
Shift light adjustable
Redline being to wair you want it..

Also he can tune for 60lb injectors..

We also talked about price, he asked me what i deem as fair.. i said 200ish but under 300 at most, which he said was fair..

He can tune for turbos and stuff what would happen is when you go to dyno shop the dyno guy and him would talk online and over phone and transfer dyno sheets and stuff for tuning over email and do it remote so that way he could transfer tunes to the car..

He was talking about selling the obd-2 cable and transfer problem for laptop users and he could send u a emal and could transfer tunes that way and pay maybe 50 a tune after the first one..

I asked him what if we tune and sent the tuner back and problems happened.. he said hed take care of us.. He said if it was a problem that you wanted something adjusted more or so it would be about 50 dollars per tune down the road.. say you add a turbo or so down the road after the first tune.. it would be like 50 dollars not bad huh?

For now its just paying for a tune.. the gt tuner just holds the tune thats all..

Tom he wants to talk to you about dynoing this week.. once its all done and if it works perfect, he is sending me mine, so get to that dyno this week!!

He got ahold of all the stuff in the ecm, he said its just all tables, and he can change basically anything.

I'mma raise the speed limiter, rev limiter to 7k, and add 60 lb. injectors with this tune. I'm assuming this will help make some of the afterfire go away as well?

What injectors does the 2.4L take? Would that be a better set? What harnesses would we need or is this direct plug in type stuff.
