People asked:

Would we need LSJ injectors if we can get tuned?

Complicated answer is:

No.

Oh ****! That isn't complicated!

Seriously...you'd need cams or something along those lines...something where higher demand for fuel because you are taking in more air...which is what cams, F/I, n2o do...

A larger throttle body will not suck it in any faster.. only way to even thing about boring it out is if your going turbo or supercharged so that you can fit more compressed air in..

the bigger the whole running on N/A the slower the velocity is..

haha, thank you lol. I cant take any credit for the tuning itself as Vince is the man who did all the actual tuning...but as for getting the ball rolling...ya lol. I had a talk with him one day about cracking into it and it started rolling. We are doing alot of work to get this out and I really hope that this will bring the 2.2 closer to on par with the higher models. I cant take all the credit by any means, but I will def share the fame for now

well, heres my plans. within this next week or two, I'm installing my AEM FIC. However, i will ideally still use this tune to remove PE delay, my SAI CEL, speed governor, and add 3 or 4 degrees of ignition advance, since the FIC can remove any that i don't need up high/under boost, but wont be able to give me any advance down low or under vacuum since i will be running 91 instead of 87 now.

removing PE delay should allow me to just add more fuel via MAP vs RPM, and not have to worry about tricking the O2 sensor or anything like that. Unless im imagining this completely wrong.

Heres a question for yah.

Can the 2.2s be tuned for a higher octane fuel?

For instance using 93 instead of 87. If so would it be worth it? A noticeable gain?

(I will understand the first post, no thread hi-jacking here)

Yes, thats what hes been saying all along. When they say they have advanced the timing a few degrees that means its tuned more for a higher octane fuel. You must always run 91+ if your going to do that though.

EDIT: Well not always, but if you advance timing, you start seeing knock, so running higher octane will help that to a point. So they are able to run 91 octane and advance the timing a couple more degrees to get some more power.

What kind of HP gains can be seen from a few degrees being added?

Hard to tell honestly. But i'd say its enough to be worth it. We will see dyno info soon.

I would be curious to see what kind of difference there would be between having just the Comp stage 1 cams and having the cams with tuning. I bet there would be 15-20whp right there.

I am wondering about stage 3's... If they claim to be 19-23hp(realistically 15-19) it may jump another 10 hp or so...
