Fixing exhaust
Fixing exhaust
I currently have a Megan Exhaust on the car.
Of course I had to cut the original exhaust off near the axle. Is there a way to get a piece of pipe to bridge the two cut pieces back together? I really don't want to pay a shop to reinstall and weld the pieces back on.
Also, how in the hell does everyone removes the nuts from the manifold studs without shearing off the studs.
Also, can you use something like high temp JB weld to piece the two parts back together. If that were the case then I would love to do it myself.
Please help guys.
I have been looking around. Maybe a small piece of flex pipe till I can go get it welded is best.
Is the 2.2L exhaust 2, 2.25, or 2.5"

you can get a coupling which slips over both ends of the pipes you want to join. then you attach clamps to keep the whole thing together.
exhaust manifold nuts can be a pain. a torch can be used to heat the nuts and help melt the rust off. penetrating oil like pb blaster can be used sometimes. an impact gun can be helpful too.
