those are just a few numbers so far off the top of my head

i could of got you a intake manifold made for a 2.2, not a 2.0, for almost 300 cheaper, and a tubular manifold i could of gotten you for 500 cheaper...tisk tisk...

and from what ive heard the traction bars that bwoody makes isnt upto to par but thats just word of mouth from a few people on here so idk.
and all this on a home depot part time salary too lol
for traction i suggest

solid engine and tranny mounts, traction bars, dss axels

i wanted the hahn intake manifold for the build because at the time the build was planned it was going on a 04 cavalier. and as far as the Full Race tubular turbo manifold i payed 500 for it. it was originally that other price. but hey it was made custom by Full Race so good stuff

ya if all goes right here within the next 3weeks ill have the only set of 07 turbo grind cams. with the sensor.
but all in all ive spent well over 8grand on parts. and ive got another 3grand in cash thats just burning a whole in my pocket lol. any suggestions out there guys

why would u do solid balance shaft? i recommend balance shaft delete, the solids are actually heavier than stock, and a delete would benefit you so much, faster rev=spooling faster

ok update people. i took the spare motor to jotech today and had the head removed and originally the plan was to let Port Flow port it for me and do the head work. well guess what i go one even better. they called marty ladwig and he is personally doing my head for me. he's even going to put the cam sensor on my turbo grind cams.

is it possible to keep a/c and p/s with that turbo set up you have? I have a sedan LS 5 speed which im thinking of trading in for a LT just because i want all the power stuff. how ever im looking to build a motor and drop in as a daily so not as intense of a build as your because I have a stroker H2B ek almost done for the weekends.

yes it is very possible to fit a turbo of that size without deleting those items. two things will come into play though. 1) the turbo manifold you are using and how the dimensions are proportional to the area where it sits. 2) the intercooler piping and how you plan on running it.
but other than that its possible. im not planning on deleting mine

on a side note im seeling my eagle rods and gm neutral balance shafts. i just ordered some pauter rods so i can increase the amount of boost with out the thought of bending/warping a rod

ok i guess i need to post a long awaited update on this project of mine.

I sent the head to get ported and build on july 17 and its still being worked on.
ya i know too long right. well marty's head man who works for porche is having to do it as a side job.
the head is technically built. cams and all. sensor pressed on and everything. (which means i have the first set of turbo cams on a 07) marty called and asked how much power im wanting to make and what he is doing now is having the stud holes on the outer four corners drilled deeper so that the studs themselves will go all the way through the block just like on the gm drag vehicles. also he is having the ports opended up even more and port matched to my manifolds.
as soon as i get pics or the head back i will post.

well on the 11th of october im taking the block to get stripped and sent off to be sleeved.
after that theres going to be a small period of down time on the build so i can decide on a few things and save more money. then off to be built by gm racing again.
hopefully the actual engine will be done by xmas.

ok i received an email on myspace a few days ago from marty that id like to share with you guys following my build. enjoy

Hey Scott,

Sorry it's taken so long. I was at the machine shop Thursday to check on it. They
thought it would be done alot sooner as well but had to order a smaller mandrel
for the valve guide honing machine to hone the new guides. Ended up they ordered
the wrong one and had to send it back and get the right one.

So they were honing the guides on friday and then should finish up everything else
this week. Sorry it's taking so long but everything will be top notch.

I worked at Lozano Brothers Racing for about 10 yrs and we did Indy car, Nascar, and Top Fuel drag race motors. Right now they are mainly working on Porche V8 and straight 6 road race motors for the Grand Am Cup series.

I'll be by there on Monday and will give you a update in the evening.
Thanks,
Marty Ladwig

nice i tried to contact mardy once to see about doing some work for my engine, but he never got back to me, so i'll probbaly have slowboy racing do mine...they $750 and they'll do:

- Cleaned & Blasted Head
- Full Stage 3 Port And Polish Job
- Competition 3 Angle Valve Job
- Surfacing/Head Shaving
- New SI Stainless Steel Valves
- New Valve Seals
- New SI Valve Guides (if guides are out of spec, or specifically mentioned in the order)
- New SI Springs
- New SI Retainers

just have to send them a core, or pay 250 core charge
