gm sport compact performance build book

have you guys ever seen the gm sport compact performance build book?

Im sick of hearing all these people in the forum talking about "no one makes a turbo
for the cobalt" when in the book itself (which was made in 2005) it specificially says that hahn makes a turbo kit for the car.

does anyone own this book? are you guys all clueless i've just seen like 10 2.2 turbo charged cobalts on the internet including the phase 5 kit that comes from gm performance. we found the website that has pretty much has the book for free you need to read it because of lot of people on are clueless!!! they talk about things like they know what they are talking about but they know nothing about.

heres the website

http://www.gm.com/company/gmtunersou...build_book.htm

k sorry to burst your bubble, but hahn makes a turbo for the sunfire and cavalier, their turbo for the cobalt still hasnt been released. there is a turbo kit out from gude that nobody has mentioned but it is $5000 and the max boost kit is apparently a custom setup with used parts disguised as a kit.

the phase 5 cobalts, as well as most other current turbocharged cobalts have CUSTOM turbo kits. there is not a phase 5 turbo kit, it is a custom kit, and if you would like, i could send you the list of parts. most/all of us have the expertise to do the phase 5 build but lack the funds, thus the reason why we dont. we know that there is more to turbocharging to 535hp than simply bolting on a turbocharger.

maybe you should take the time to actually read the book before insulting the rest of us.

have a nice day

CobaltJustin....you're an idiot. Don't come on here insulting people when you have no clue what you're talking about. Why don't you call gm and buy the "phase 5 kit"? Post some pics and a how-to tough guy. Go buy an srt-4, that's where you belong.

And, just to add fuel to the fire (ya, that's right, I'm a moderator and I'm stirring the pot), there are three different build books for the Ecotecs, and the first one was published in 2002. So there, ain't I a smarty pants?

However, being a moderator, I should also say that "EVERYONE SETTLE DOWN!"

He's a new poster, and while I agree his first post was a weird and rude way to say hi, we do try to encourage new posters. So tell him why he's wrong, but don't beat him up for it.

I dunno if I wanna buy a turbo kit from "canadian tire". First off, sounds like they sell tires... not turbos. Second off... they're canadian.
