Its all the same ****, its just which one is designed the best. I chose the GMPP inake because i knew for a fact it would not throw a CEl.

Until it does....

Don't be surprised by that. I threw the P0171 with my stock airbox on.

lol thanks. I don't think it's a big deal. I just installed an Injen CAI and just threw a crankcase breather filter on it and I don't have any problems. Hopefully by the time I get a header there will be something to get around it on the other end.

You need to research the header idea -- I think there are some threads concerning the SAI (AIR) having a special exhaust manifold and a header is a little tricky. If memory serves me right, no one makes a header yet for the SAI equipped cars. (Hope I'm wrong)

Does your 07 have a manifold that looks like this?

If yes, then read this:

o i called GM and found out that the outlet diamiter of the 2.2/2.4L GMPP intake it 3" and that the SS/SC is 3.1" so i ordered the 2.2 GMPP filter and am going to try and see if i can fit the filter on my 2.0L. with the air box mod of course.
Now to all the guys with the GMPP intake. do u wash your filter or are they replacments when there full of dirt

Has anyone tried to buy the filter P/N separately, and if so what was the price? Mine isn't dirty enough to replace, but I was contemplating taking the P/N off the install sheet to GM and ordering one to have "in stock" for when I need it.

A good idea; you never know if GM might someday lose interest in these products and discontinue them. I'm tempted to order a half-dozen or so of them next time I'm getting something on GM Parts Direct.

your not gona like the price!!! i ordered one and my cost is $60 CND. retail was like $100canadian. you guys are sure there not washable? then i might be buying a AEM dryflow after. i have the part number at work ill post it up later
also when you order them they come from the manufacturers and not a GM store house. so it could take a bit. like i said im in canada and i ordered mine on monday and it still isn't here. so i would be a good idea to sstock one for your self

What is $60CND in real money - is that like 6 bucks?

I expected it to be pricy, but that's flamin' rediculous! OTOH, with mine breathing through the scoop, it doesn't seem to pick up road dirt and has remained pretty clean. I might try reverse blowing it out with the compressor and replace it only when it gets real bad. I'll probably get one on order soon. I might e-mail CrateEngineDepot and GMPartsDirect and check their pricing. Will post the outcome.

And THIS JUST IN: I ran mine on a dyno with stock, GMPP, and GMPP through the scoop. See the results at the link in my signature.
