GMPP Intake
I went to the GM Performace parts shop here in Virginia Beach and the guy behind the desk told me that GM did not make an intake... for the cobalt... he looked in his books and found nothing, but i know its out there i hear people talking about it all the time. WHAT IS THE DEAL... where can i find this
lol
well i called the dealer one day and the lady on the phone says it costs 1.2k$ im like somethings wrong thats way too high, turns out she was looking up intake manifold.
called the actual salesman and he found it for 300$ which is still more then any out there.
dunno tho parts ppl can be retarded and gmpp intake does exist.

Hey steddy thanks for the info tho
So after investigating my intake setup for the first time, I came to find out that from the filter housing, to where the air actually enters the in, its blocked by my bumper, which has no real access to out side air. I guess its just setup to not get the hot air from the engine. I suppose I would have to change my bumper to allow cooler flowing air to get in, or a hood scoop?

Those are my dyno results. Look at the percentage gain - it should be the same for a 2.2, since they have identical stock intakes.
I have to admit that the intake probably doesn't make as much HP as some of the other brands BY ITSELF. But if you either add a scoop or go with the RK Sport hood, the gain is pretty good for an intake.

I have a copy of the performance parts book if you want to see what they carry. Also, pm darksol4life if you want parts for a good price. He can beat or match what crate engine depot lists. He works for a dealership in the area.

Actually, if CAI is "cold air intake" meaning the intake air is coming from a source outside the engine compartment, then all Cobalts are CAI from the factory. They all breathe through the fender well (the 2.0 does a better job of it - the 2.2 and 2.4 are strangled, but at least the air is "cold").
