got a question about the starter....

think mine might be going out. car didnt want to start this morning, then this afternoon it fired right over? anyone have to replace theirs yet? if so, is a start just a starter? or is there one that claims will last "forever"? I have about 91,354 miles. Thanx

Haven't heard of anyone replacing their starter, though it's far from impossible that it wouldn't go out.

Did it crank or did it just click? If it wasn't turning over i'd test the battery Bedford throwing a starter at it.

If it doesn't click that probably means that the starter isn't getting power, have you checked the voltage at the starter? Is the starter fuse intact?
