i just did a 60 dollar muffler from 3a racing. umm there is no sound defect at all. no rasp AT ALL. It is really deep and extremely loud though. some you can get a silencer for. But i would sugggest it just put mine on and im impressed for a cheapy muffler

Otherwise, it's overkill.
the 2.4 is only 173hp and it has 2.5 exhuast stock except for one small section by the rear axle

I might get the 3" after I tune my TC. I just don't won't anything loud. I had the Magnaflow cat-back 2.5" on my SC and it was perfect, but it looks to be a different muffler than that.

K heres the pics for the catback w/o resonator that i got from mendrel bent systems tru bendz whatever they call
themselves...

Fitment is not that great.....but i have yet to fiddle around with it.....
umm as for SS/SC that's been lowered...like mine 1.0/1.3' ...the exhaust might not clear 100%
sometimes on bumps i hear my exhaust hitting something...
this does not contain a resonator...i dont know how to upload sounds/video...so theres a megaupload link...hope that isnt gonna be a problem...

Wow! sounds deep and nice! the sound is amplified by your garage though...
It's very deep I like it.

Why isn't centered in the muffler hole in the rear lip??? Keep us posted on how you fix that...

And the fact that is seem too short could be solved while you add a resonator I guess.

Also, how big is the muffler tip?

ijak: It looks real good, to center it you may be able to play with the piping a little or bend the exhaust hangers on the left side to have a downward tilt which should pull it over a little. I had the opposite problem with my old body kit on the balt and we tilted the hangers on the right and it slid over enough to work.

its deep now cause its broken in....like first couple days....it sounds nasty..
the tip is the same size as our stock 3'..
as for the adjustment....my muffler is kinda twisted more to the left....making it off center.
i'll fix it as soon as i weld my resonator on....
