Going to keep this short and sweet i got a zzp header DP combo used and the header was ceramic coated. Now for whatever reason the ceramic is burning off and i was wondering if before i install it, it would be a good idea to paint it with a high temperature engine paint? Basically will the paint stand up to that kinda heat or just flake off.

It wont stick, it'll just bake off

 

It will just flake off, header wrap that ****! I wish I did before I put mine on... now I dont want to take it off, cuz im lazy, lol.

Don't wrap it. That will void any warranty on the header. If you want to coat it, Jet Hot coat it.

You might be able to powdercoat it. That'd probably stay.

engine paint is only good for 1000*, get the VHT flameproof, resistant to 2000*...that will hold just fine,it held on my old header..never faded or chipped, or burned off
