header heat sheild

so i put on badmab headers last winter and started wondering a couple of days ago if it would be alright to remove the heat sheild from it?

i never reinstalled mine on my lsj after i put on my header. weight savings ftw rofl

I never re installed mine on my l61, been over a year no issues. I did re route my wires for my coolant temp sensor though. Was a lil to close for my liking.
I also have the bad mab header.

Haven had a heat shield on since mid 2006. No problems yet lol
