Help! Currently installing Short Ram

Hello,

Im currently (like right now! 9.20pm) am installing my KN short ram in the 2.2. I am a noob at this stuff, and had a question about the 1st step.

1. Unplug the negative battery cable.

I am very unfamiliar with electricity/batteries and it scares the **** outta me and i dont wanna f*ck stuff up ( ex Short the computer etc.)

I was wondering where i would be disconnecting the negative battery.
I am guessing that it is the red cap in the engine bay with the "+" sign on it ( yes i know its a "+" but i was guessing that had something to do with booster cables)

Or, does this have to be done in the trunk where the battery is located.

Any advice would be apprecaited , Thankyou!!

haha, Thank you sir (s) for the help, BUT,, lol i cannot seem to locate this magic black cable with the "-".

There is the red "+" on the right side, and on the left is a black cable without any markings that is "screwed"/Bolted" ? onto the battery. Is this it?

please help!

take some pliers and squeeze the clamp tabs towards each other and pull the hose off!
