heres to beating a dead horse with a stick

Ok, There are like 10 zillion exhaust posts about the cobalt on the world wide web. But, I would like to get some specific questions answered about the GM performance exhaust.

1) who is it made by? no guesses please.

2) does anybody have the dyno gains of the sport and the touring on a 2.2?

3) what is the cheapest that you have found it?

4) Could I install it myself? (I have a floor jack and a set of jack stands and a few simple tools.)

5) Is it worth it as far as an exhaust goes?

6) Does the sport sound raspy?

7) Does the touring perform the same as the sport?

9) Why are we in Iraq?

10) Why isn't the blue color on the cobalt "cobalt blue"?

Thanks !!!

I'll get that last one, cuz I'm not sure of the others. But the Color of "Cobalt" (Co27) Is actually a Grey. So, I'm not sure where Cobalt Blue ever came from, but yea, on the element tree, it sez its Grey. 1 down....

The GMPP exhaust was made with the assistance of the BORLA Corp. Hence why it sounds better than 99 % of the exhausts that cost double the price

1) who is it made by? no guesses please. In conjuction with Borla

2) does anybody have the dyno gains of the sport and the touring on a 2.2? No not yet

3) what is the cheapest that you have found it? I got mine for 410.00 shipped to my parts dept. that is employee price so tell em you know that. Mine is the performance

4) Could I install it myself? (I have a floor jack and a set of jack stands and a few simple tools.) yes it is bolt up...the pain is taking off the factory exhaust.

5) Is it worth it as far as an exhaust goes?i have been very pleased with mine the sound at idle is very low and when you get on it it caomes to life

6) Does the sport sound raspy? Not at all has a nice deep mellow sound until you open it up.

7) Does the touring perform the same as the sport?

9) Why are we in Iraq? I will not tell my political views on any forum

10) Why isn't the blue color on the cobalt "cobalt blue"? I was wondering that too

Thanks !!! Your welcome

some is my 2 cents hope i helped out and if you do get it you gotta buy an exhaust tip

Actually, cutting with a hacksaw only took me about 5 minutes and a lot of grunting. Also, chances are the original flange bolts are pretty rusted so make sure to pick yourself up a can of PB nut buster ...heh heh, nut buster... from your local auto store and spray those nuts down with it. (give it about 20 minutes to work too) The whole cutting and using chemicals bit can sound a bit daunting but it's all pretty easy really, you should be able to install it yourself without a problem.
