Highest 2.2l whp with an M62

So, I was looking though the 2.2l official dyno numbers and was wondering if anyone on an m62 that hasn't posted their dyno sheet has higher numbers than i put up on the dyno.
I'll post my dyno sheet as soon as I bring it to work and scan it in.
I was dynotuned the same day using LS2 Edit, after being quite dissatisfied with my experience with trifecta performance. The car was tuned to have PE on at all times, and ran very rough and far too lean.
Just for background im boosting 12-13psi with a stg2 pulley and the stock belt.
Thanks to Fred of SMG Autosports for his advanced tuning skillz my final results (from what i can remember) on my best pull were:
232.9 WHP
220 or so WTQ

it was VERY humid and around 90-100 degrees out when i was on the dyno so hopefully i'll have a bit more power when weather conditions are better.

I'll post the official sheet when i remember to bring the sheet to work

gene's interceptor is showing 280bhp, which would be like 240-245whp. course he needs to be dynoed for verification, but i think his is the fastest so far

Yes, mine is actually showing 285. I did a run last Friday morning and I did another run this morning and it said max 285 again. It is around 80 degrees here in the morning.

I am going to get a CAI and take her to the dyno. A person who I used to work for has a race team and obviously has an in house dyno.

This is with 2.9 pulley and 14PSI in 3rd gear.

i'm glad your happy with SMG. Fred and a custom tune are always > trifecta.

Stock internals right now, lol. Only 4500 miles on the car.

Just running the same 2.9 pulley others are on their 2.2's. Only difference mine is the LAP 2.2. I don't know if this is where I got some extra push or I just got lucky with my setup.

the LAP makes higher peak HP and lower tq than the L61, so im sure the supercharged equivalent to both would see similar results.

still....i want mo powa!

i was thinking about dropping to a 2.8 pulley and throwing on the stg 2 belt but i feel like thats going to push the internals a bit too much. If i were to do that would meth be strongly encouraged?

I've been wondering this as well...id really like to see someone push the limits.

I'm think the 2.2s can take a lil more than we've been thinking all this time. I don't see why a 2.8 would be out of the question..

interview has been running his 2.8@15psi fine, im actually dropping to a 2.8, and stock cavalier on their 2.2 are pushing the saab set up to 270wrtq fine...so these engines have been proven to take power in the 200range, mkurley was pushing 252whp when he was on his garrett set up

Turbo setups seem to get away with a little more than supercharged guys though. That's seen even with LSJs so I wouldn't put them in the same category as us.

I think though on a 2.8 you could hit 260whp or so, that may still be within a safe range.

like i said, the saab set up guys push 200whp, 270wtrq fine...trq breaks parts...not horsepower...but yeah like i said interview is running 2.8" fine, im dropping mine to a 2.8" soon

HP breaks parts too. rods are moving faster and have to change direction in a shorter amount of time at higher RPMs with the same torque pushing down on them.

Yes, a lot of us are running a 2.90 which is smaller than the GM Stage 3 2.99.

I have been tempted to try a 2.8 but feel like I really might push it over the edge. I have been thinking about ordering a 2.88 or something, lol, and see what happens.

Stop tempting me lol. I will probably have 16 PSI with the 2.8 so I'm wondering if something would go boom. Probably not... but sheesh... there is a limit and I'm not sure I'm ready to find out yet.
