I don't see what's funny, I know the guy, he's selling that and sold his Ion sedan for a Redline Comp Package.

it doesn't say it has a stand alone, but I'm suprised he left that out. he was planning to run a SAFC2 with larger injectors, I suppose that's why he's including them in buy it now.

it might for the most part bolt up on a cobalt, but I wouldn't be suprised to have clearance issues. he did speak with Bill over at Gude though who was very much partial to it physically being fine, but hard to say without seeing it.

the kit was designed with 03/04 Ions in mind, which the engines are just like the 2.2 Cavi ones I believe with the MAP sensor and throttle cable.

yep, it is, but he purchased it originally without the fuel management stuff, the person who had it used larger injectors and a safc2 with a wideband o2 to tune it, so he tried to replicate it.

didn't Gude originally use some like "black box" deal as fuel management with their kits?

it sucks that nothing new has come out since 03 for the Ions

yeah something like that, it was supposedly a secondary MAP and some other stuff? I never looked too far into it though.

im not 100% sure but i think that's the kit for the 03 ion. the guy is just trying to get someone to buy it by saying that it will work on te cobalt...i dont see why fuel management is such an issue though, its just not supported by the ecu, why not just buy a FMU or megasquirt?

Edit: this guy is the idiot, gude still is a quality product just a little overpriced.

unless he edited that listing, it doesn't say anywhere on there that it would work on a cobalt...

LOL that must have been when he called me asking if it would fit

the kid isn't huge into cars, so lets not resort to name calling when the guy is just uninformed.

I'm in the same boat as you all, waiting on HP tuners and then time to build my spare engine for boost.
