0 zip zilch nada, an intake manifold especialy like that wont do n e thing, unless u add a larger t/b. its better for forced induction, ie. turbo it will flow better and will handle more power, so you wont have to worry about "blowing the welds off the intake" lol had to say it. sorry.

yeah, unless your going the F/I route...ITB's would be a better idea, if they ever come out for that motor...

GM Performance Parts also makes an aluminum intake manifold for the Cobalt. However, they specifically state that it is not Street legal. That made me curious, since a manifold is a manifold and there really isn't anything to it that would screw up your emmisions. I can tell you that the stock manifold is good for up to 350HP (right out of the GM Ecotec build book now available on line). And if you get either manifold, you need to get a custom air pipe for it.
