yeah 5K, 400hp, big piece of crap.Money is no object in this.Sure you can buy a turbo kit and instal it yourself but are you a professional mecanics? If yes thats find if not good luck.Second the biggest thing about performance is the word TUNING.Installing a cold air intake is not tuning.Im sure that if you disassemble the motor and you blueprint it you ll gain approx. 10 loss hp and thats only cost time but no cash if youre able to do it yourself.I dont know for you but im not a millionaire so id like to keep my factory warranty so im not sure that if you bring the car back to your dealer with a blown head gasket or a busted valve with you big turbo setup and all the stock parts missing they would says hey no problems we ll replace it under warranty.

finally if you want something reliable as daily driver with a lot of power put your car on sale and invest in real stock power.Or if the waranty does not affraid you,buy the ecotec handbook for 25$ at your dealer and you ll see how to put your 2.2 at over 200 mph in middle 7 sec on 1/4 mile but not for 5K:P

My GM Performance parts book states the 2.2 is reliable up to 250hp. It states the pistons are good to 300hp. It also states a 75hp wet kit is safe on a stock 2.2 ecotec.

Am i the only one that finds it funny that you're accusing a roots-style blower of having more lag than a turbo setup?

I read that a couple times, thinking the same thing, but now I think he was talking about the lag on some of the more powerful turbos.
