I/C Pump Wiring

Anyone have a diagram of wiring an I/C pump in an L61? I'm sure I'll have to do a relay, but I need to know how to wire it up.

I searched and didnt really find anything.

Wire it into one of your accessory fuses that come on when the car comes on like the wipers and run a slightly larger fuse.

Tap into the power wire from the fuel pump relay. That way when the fuel pump is on, the I/C pump is on aswell. Thats how mien is.

I honestly don't know about that, I don't know what the current is on the i/c pump.

no relay needed. Just use add-a-circuit.

use a relay and wire it to the fuel pump relay. will protect both circuits, and will only draw what it needs, easier to diagnose if something goes wrong too. and this way when your fuel pump is going your IC pump will be too. add-a-circuits are janky IMO

Do you happen to have anything with what pins on the relay go to what? Cause I suck at figuring out how to wire relays without said information.

Haha. Well I think I found a diagram that I can use to wire the relay. Now I just gotta figure out which wire is for the fuel pump and where to tap into it at.

mine is with the fuel pump as well...you can use an add a fuse to the fuel pump fuse in your fuse box and with a relay. thats how mine is. different people have done it differently, obviously lol but i wouldnt do it without a relay, no matter what you hook it into...problem with not using a relay is it's possible you'll sometimes throw a CEL...

i have a diagram at home i can pm you if you need it...

Be carefull when you wire it in, personally I would do it with a relay because then you get zero feed back from the pump back into your ignition switch. When I wired mine in I used ZZP's instructions of using the abs switched wire for power and it had feedback which caused the car to pause before shutting down, after the key was turned off, and in the that moment it was a low enough voltage to cause the system to pull a P1682 code which is a low/high voltage in the the ignition circuit. I used the same abs wire and added a Relay and I havn't had the code pulled at all and the car shuts down immediately after the key is turned off. I did this three days ago.
See my thread on it:
