does anyone know where i can get a motor for a 2005 Ls cobalt for $850

 

car-part.com<-- check that site first and then parouse craigslist or something. There's thousands upon thousands of junked out cobalts, I'm sure you'll find a motor

 

i saw a 2.2 with 20k miles for $250 on craigslist the other day, just take a look.

 

remember it dont have to be a 05 motor

an07 wont work mainly because of the crank wheel is different along with the fact that after 06 there was no longer a ingniton cassette but coil on plug, those are the two big differences.

 

Ebay or craigslist is definitely the way to go. If you cand find a 2000-2006 L61 for under $850 you should go cry in a corner.

so then use any bottom end of a 2.2 and bolt your head to it.

OR, look at any of the like 7 or 8 engines i found you in just a few minutes. You know how the internetz work, use them.

 

Well I got everything but the oil pan (which you can transfer from your old engine).
