Intake gaskets? I don't understand.

I am confused by the design of the intake manifold. When you replace the intake manifold on a SB Chevy(done a few times on a couple of my old Novas) you must replace the intake gasket, so I am new to this ecotec stuff. All I find for intake gaskets for an ecotec online are O-ring type things. I've never had an ecotec intake in my hands to see this. Is this right? I will buy a 2.4L manifold soon, but I'm worried about replacing the manifold-to-block gaskets. How would I go about replacing these? Or do I need to?

iirc they are just the o rings you're talking about. if you get the 2.4 you will also need the crank passage seal or whatever it's called

I bought my 2.4 intake man from another member and bolted it right on. No need for replacing gaskets and whatnot. The only thing I had to do is get a longer hose for my brake booster.
