intake question**

I have taken the intake resonator off and that was nice but now i am wanting something diffrent (cuz thats not really anything big). If you do the "AIR BOX MOD" that would just make it a ram air, but if you leave it the way it is now... it acts as a CAI b/c the air is coming from the fender well... so i was thinking about taking that huge ass intake thing above the TB off and getting a custom bent pipe so theres no air restriction on there. so i was wondering what angles and measurements do i need for the pipe, and should i do a RAM AIR (take out the air box completely) or do a CAI (leave the airbox and have cold air from the fender well) and i REALLY need those dementions.

If you are looking to do it the inexpensive way, I suggest just saving yourself some trouble and buying the ebay intake.

pep boys sells spectre intake parts and they have the 90 degree coupler or silicon hose as some people call it.

an intake is an intake. If you want to be embarassed when you open your hood, do it your way. If you want it to look nice and fresh even an ebay intake could work wonders. Whats not to trust? Its a 3inch pipe with a filter on it. All of them are.

You wont get any xtra gains then with a single tube. Remember only a certain amount of air is capable of going thru the throttle body without forced induction. Thats why intake manufacturers design intakes to be less restrictive and allow colder air to travel thru because thats the only way you're gonna get any more power.

BTW, spectre is the brand of custom intake parts that pep boys sell

your trottle can only suck in so much air...

save up like $250 and get a nice CAI/SRI...and you wont look back

seriously...adding a split like that isn't going to do anything other than look like something out of a magazine aimed at teenagers.....the TB is only gonna allow only so much air to go through at N/A pressures as well as the plenum.....so get something less restrictive as said above....like a CAI but really not a SRI because that's just gonna pull hot air from the engine bay.....

y'n it off will only slow the velocity in which it is sucked in at, no gain at all...in the end, you can only take in as much as it can suck in...stick to the normal intakes, they are proven to work
