JDM Turbo Kit?

Anyone have any info on this

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...category=33742

Anyone have this? Opinions?
Seems to cheap to be real or actually reliable.

How difficult is the install on this?

btw I have a 2.2L N/A.

well everything is pretty much decent equipment...but the only this is that it is hit or miss with those turbos...u can have one that leaks or it doesnt...but u need else is
manifold, injectors, downpipe, some random small parts, and a tune

Not sure if it would be worth it even if it did work. I mean I would love to go from 145hp to like 230hp but the chance of it breaking and me being only 16 with partime job having to pay 800 for insurance every 6 months I would be broke. Plus im betting it would void my only warranty the 100k so if anything goes wrong its straight from my pocket and with 45k miles on my car it would probally last a while.

Anyone have this setup?

For some reason I can find the zzp kit. Which one is it?

The only turbo kit I can find on zzp is the 2.4L

the 2.4 kit fits the 2.2. the only thing yu have to buy seperate is your tuning (trifecta) everything else bolts right up. but garrett had a huge price drop in there turbo kits and there around ZZP kit.

It seems like every two weeks I see a thread with people asking how legit something from ebay is. There are a couple of items that will work just fine, but I've never seen a FI kit (that wasn't from garrett/zzp) that worked perfectly. It's cheaper than $1-3K for a reason.

In general, you can't go wrong with most of the supporting vendor's products, but if you see something on ebay that looks too good to be true, it most likely is.

Which is better Garret or ZZP? Which is cheaper?

If I was to do the zzp. http://www.zzperformance.com/cobalt_...=922&catid=143

What should I expect to be putting out at the crank? 260 like the SS/TC or would I be lower like 230ish since I have stock CAI, Headers, exhaust.

Would I need to get a CAI?
What injectors should I get since I have heard talk that their are better than the 33#.

Do I want External Wastegate dump or wastegate dumps into exhaust?

Since it "bolts up" would a noob be able to install it or would I have to find someone in my area that could help?

where did garrett drop there kit at? all the ones i see are still 3k+ the zzp is only 1800 if u want the stage 1 and for stage 2 all u need is injectors and intercooler...much less then garrett unless u got the GT kit for 2k

External wastegate will be like a atmospheric blow off louder and sounds better i think...in the exhaust its like a recirc blow off. 42# injectors would probably be your best bet.

Looks like I will just try and get the zzp stage 1, some good injectors, cai, exhaust, intercooler, then tune.
So 1800, 200, 250, intercooler no idea, and how much is a tune?

Wow and the intercooler?

Would it be worth it to put on at 45k miles since hopefully this car will last a while if I dont beat it.

the tune is only 250 from vince, and about 75 for retunes

and yea its worth it to put it on a car with 45k, i had about 50k on mine when i first turbo'd it

Hmm. Now convincing my parents to get it for me as a birthday christmas gift is the hard part but maybe easier since my parents are divorced = twice as much stuff.

yea or you can just put out the extra 600 and get the stage 2 kit with intercooler and injectors already so about 2400 with 250 on tune and you got a badass kit for 2650 roughly plus it will put you to about the same power as a new stock ss/tc

Hmm so then I would need a CAI and Exhaust. So thats 500 more. Then 800 in car insurance this month lol. Umm it sucks being 16 that should save for college but would rather go fast LOL.

So 3000 about all together thats hoping I can get installed for free.

Tools and lift is no problem. Money is the only thing lol. I should sell some of my junk like video games that do nothing but collect dust now.

Seeing how I have so much and the only one I use it the 360 I can sell everything else. Have dreamcast and games, original xbox and games, psp w/ games, ds and games, nes and games, gameboy advanced and tons of games. The only hassle is putting it up on craigslist.
