L61 N/A Build
Its possible to do it with an ecotec BLOCK but its nothing like the one thats in your car now. Would cost you a ton more than doing a boosted build. If you've got the money and the resources it would be a cool build though and I'm sure a ton of people would want to see the final result.
Yeah right now the peak power guys are getting out of NA ECOs are in the range of about 300hp on gasoline and close to 350 on E85/methanol.
But these arent 2.2L engines, they are running street unfriendly cams, they require 100+ octane fuel, and run in the neighborhood of 9500+rpm.
remotely legal, civil and drivable on the street your looking at about 225hp as the likely max. And this is no cake walk either. It really is cheaper/easier to just go supercharged/turbocharged

Lol like i sid previous times iam not a mechanic but when i was reading th ebook and they said 400 hp on the L61 they didnt say anything about turbo or sc just a 75 shot of nitrous but hey a boy can dream
)
Yeah a properly built, tuned NA ECO running high octane fuel and a 75shot is good for 400hp. Like I said there are guys getting 300hp from 100octane, abd close to/over 350hp with E85/methanol. But this is a race engine, not a street engine.
Even at 300hp, thats the equivalent of a 850+hp naturally aspirated Corvette!
