Injen did, it's like 118hp/124tq stock and 124hp/131tq w/ just the intake. I may be a little off on those #'s

Sweet thanks! I have a 2.2 in my HHR and NO ONE on the HHR boards will dyno a stock 2.2 or even one with an intake. I have made a custom CAI that puts my filter in the driver side fender well. Now I can dyno and see what she makes! Thanks again!

Go to K&N they have dyno sheet for 2.2L with SRI

AEM also has Dyno sheet

Injen Dyno sheet is somewhere

All show about 5 to 6 hp gain. Little to no gain under 3000 RPM

you know what, even though the Cobalts are rated at 145HP and 155TQ that dyno doesn't show it. that looks like Ion numbers and the Ion is rated at 140HP and 145TQ.

Fujita (they are probably the most honest):

http://www.f5air.com/applications.html

Injen has not dyno tested any Chev.:

http://injen.com/testing.html

AEM:

http://www.aempower.com/pdf/dyno/21-...Cobalt_CAS.pdf

The 2.2L Cobalt stock intake seems to work better than the Cavalier intake. I wouldn't expect more than a couple of HP. Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

ie Discount Tire Direct has 205/60/15 BF Goodrich G-Force Tires for $268 shipped. Alot better deal than an intake.

If you are looking for a free way to increase your HP to weight ratio, ditch the jack and spare (carry Tyre Weld like Lotus does), the back seat, etc. If you can shed 100lbs, that is like gaining approx. 5hp.

Whoops.

Funny, it is not referenced on their site. Does 117 WHP sound like a stock Cobalt number?

Actually I believe every 100lbs you add or remove your 1/4 mile time will go up or down .1 seconds. Also I think it is every 13lbs is equivilent to 1hp.

The effect depends on the starting weight and hp of the vehicle.

Take a 2800lb car with 145hp. That is 19.31 lbs/hp.

Now drop off 100lbs. 2700lbs, 145hp. That is 18.62 lbs/hp.

Then, in order for a 2800 lb car to have the save ratio it would have to gain 5.38hp.
2800lbs/145hp + 5.38hp = 18.62

So if a 250 lbs guy and a 150 lbs guy both raced each other with the same vehical, the skinny guy would win..... hmm maybe we should go on diets before race day......lol
