Angry Loud Rattle on startup

I have owned my 2007 Cobalt since new. ALWAYS have had a problem with it too.
Took the car in for the sound at 14,000 miles.
Diagnosed as Exhaust Noise
Took the car in at 32,000 miles
Diagnosed as clutch chatter
Took it in at 53,000 Miles
Diagnosed as normal sound, and no sound present
Took the car in at 54,000 Miles
Diagnosed as serpentine belt tensioner

Anyways, from my motor knowledge, it is a timing chain slap on startup. No dealer will fix it or properly diagnose it. The car has been in multiple times for this problem, among numerous other problems. They want me to pay the $200 dollar deductible to properly fix the car if it is the timing chain, and won't be covered by powertrain. If I have reported the problem since 14k miles shouldn't it be covered??
How do I get through their heads it is the timing chain/tensioner. I plan to send in for an oil test to see if there are any metal particles in the oil from the chain.

Any other ideas what to do? I've been to 3 dealers, with a different explanation for the sound at each one.

if it is the chain tensioner, just do it yourself. takes like 30 seconds.

I know it is the tensioner, but the fact it has been slapping for 45,000 miles is what scares me. I have a feeling the chain is stretched to all hell and just waiting to break soon...thats why I'd like the dealer to take care of it if they ever would. I have an extended warranty for a reason

Call GM customer care they'll know what to do and tell your dealer what to do too

I actually already did deal with customer care, and they diagnosed as the serpentine belt tensioner....
It is almost a hopeless fight anymore, and especially since they want me to pay the deductible for my warranty, even though I've had the car in for the problem at about 14,000 miles....
