Low Cost Performance?
Low Cost Performance?
Hi I Am New In Here So I Am Trying To Find Things That I Can Do To My Car For Now. However I Don't Have A SS All I Have Is A Lil 2.2L But I Have Hope To Do A Little F/i As Soon As They Come Out With One And Right Now All I Have Are Little Small Things Like Painted Cals, Modded Shift Knob, Modded Front Bumber With Aftermarket Fog Lights And About To Have Plasma Bulbs Going In. Also Have A Small Sub In Back. If Anybody Knows Any Small Little Things That I Can Do To Get Some Power Even If It Is Extreamly Small Please Tell Me.
hey welcome to the site... before you get F/I make sure you do supporting mods, intake, exhaust, header, internals, axles, clutch.....etc... if u want a quick solution to some performance intake or exhaust
wow, holy capitalization...
try the airbox mod if you're looking for something small and cheap...
why would you tell him to get an intake or header to get ready for going f/i? they would both have to come off if he got a turbo...

I Thought About Do The Gm Cat Back Sport But Didn't Know If It Has A Deeper Throaty Sound Or A Bee Sound. Don't Want Be Sound At All I Hate That. Has Anybody Got That Cat Back Yet? But Before I Spend $400 On That I Was Thinking Something Within $100 If Anything Is Posiable. I Get That Cat Back Cheaper Because I Am A Car Salesman And I Am Good Friends With The Chevy Parts Department That I Work At.

Also Has Anybody Ever Modded An Air Intake From Another Can For The Balt. I Modded And Rsx Intake For My 03 Elantra And It Sounded Great But I Wasn't Sure How Well It Would Work With The Balt.

A really good, cheap thing to do to your car is just buy a K&N drop in air-filter for like 49.99. You can usually get them in stock at like a Pep Boys, Autozone, etc. It's nothing crazy, but it will hold you over for a little bit. Good luck.
Has Anyone Put On The Gmpp Upper Intake Manifold Yet?

listen if u want cheap performance with a 100 dollar budget, well dont expect a ton of gains im gonna tell you. i should ask this question though.
if the turbo comes out this summer, when would you buy it? i mean lots of guys want it of course but if this turbo thing is like a year away, then i suggest you just put some bolt ons now and when you get the turbo, sell them used for cheaper that way you get some money back later on.
with that said a intake will be enough to hold you over for now. a gmpp one or i suggest a injen intake. its got just about as much hp gain then a exhaust and you get better throttle response. if not then id say screw it and start doing ur suspension by getting a sportline lowering kit. one member i think has one for sale for about 150. go for it.
