Magnaflow Exhaust
Magnaflow Exhaust
I just bought the Magnaflow resonator-back exhaust. I put my car on a lift at a local body shop 2 nights ago. We tried takeing my exhaust off by just unbolting it and trying to fit it over the cross brace on the back suspensio. It wouldn't fit because of the curve in the piping, so we actually had to cut the stock exhaust right infront of where the crossbrace was. It took about 30-45 minutes to put the new exhaust on. I am really happy with this exhaust it sounds nice and does seem to give a good amount of power. I know that flowmaster is coming out with a kit for the car soon too, but i decided to go with this kit and im happy I did, I would recommend it to everyone.
Have you thought about cutting the resonator out and putting a straight pipe there? I know I am because my resonator makes strange noises when it's cold (not an exhaust leak). It's like there's something loose in it but not. It goes away after 5 minutes and it only makes the noise at certain rpms. If I were to take out that huge ass resonator, would that make it a lot louder or just a tad? And would it make the sound of the exhuast sound different (bc i love the sound of the magnaflow)

Yeah that's what my brother said, but he has a 2.25 inch on his cobalt base with no resonator and it sounds just like the magnaflow but like 3 times louder. He has one of those ebay mufflers (not the rice can, he found an oval muffler and it looks really nice.) It was like $5 and it sounds pretty good. A tad loud though. And i love the pops in it.
