Magnaflow Exhaust Problem 07 LT 2.2

I have had my MagnaFlow Cat back exhaust on my 07 Cobalt for a little over a year now and the resonator went bad so I replaced it about a week ago and the new one went bad as well. I was thinking about just deleting the resonator all together but I'm not sure how it will sound and I want to install new headers and a down pipe and a new cat but i'm not quite sure what is causing the resonator to go bad. Any Ideas?

yeah ive never heard of any part of an exhaust system "go bad". i dont really see how it possibly can except for maybe a leak (hole) in the piping?

My resonator went bad as well! sounded like a heat shield ratteling, which is what I thought it was, took that off completely, wasnt that, couldnt figure it out, took out the resonator, put a new one in, and was good to go.

im not sure, Ive had magnaflow on my past 3 vehicles and had great products, but between my resonator shitting out, then the exhaust pipe breaking off of the muffler about a few weeks later after that it kinda left a sore taste in my mouth with them, idk who im going with this time when I bump up to 3 inch in a few weeks. Gotta get ready for the 50 trim :-)
