Every time i bring the car through the 1.2-2.3 RPM range in first gear the tranny makes a very loud clunking noise; similiar to the noise a bad mount makes. I know the mounts are fine because I just had all of them fixed. Also when I power brake, it shakes violently, any ideas?

 

sounds like you might be looseing a gear. most of the time they just quit pulling.
