MAVEN I have a question for you...

I have a 2.2 and I bought the lsj downpipe from a friend here in KC. Now, I do NOT have SAI but I noticed in my downpipe that the stock one does have TWO cats. I noticed in the SAI sticky thread that a lot of people were saying that only the balts with sai have 2 cats in the downpipe. Just wondering if you by chance knew why in the hell mine has two cats but no sai ( thank god ). Thanks.

BTW: 2008 1LT cobalt.

are you SURE you don't have the sai? if not, then they probably just used the 2nd cat for emissions reasons.

the downpipe should work fine, just make sure the 02 bungs line up. for example, if your stock downpipe has 2 bungs, you will need 2 bungs on the lsj downpipe. if you have one bung on the manifold and the other bung on the downpipe you'll be fine.

100% sure. yes, I will need to put an extra o2 bung in the lsj downpipe.....since I dont have one on the manifold. I just kind of thought this was very odd which is why i made the thread.

One cat is a pre warm cat and the other is your main

the front one gets hot faster than you would believe, that is for cold emissions
