I've got an XXX bar so that might help a little. I have definitely noticed a difference but still stock suspension otherwise

Not really, I had fun in my car. That's all I was looking for.

It's a fun car to autoX and does very well for being 3200lbs. The torque curve on the stock motor is really nice compared to the Honda equivalents. It's all about having fun for me. If I'm not having fun then it isn't worth doing, which is why I only attended 1 autocross event last year with my LNF. Didn't help that none of my friends made it out either.

Ya that will help. If you want the best handling setup for autox or rc go with konis and powell yyz v3. I've got stance coils and they're good but not great.
Gonna go with a hardcore bar myself, with ucrs and harness bar of course.

YelloEye knows.... wasn't it your tow hook that was bent up? towed an f350 or something? lol

Yes that was his crashbar that bent doing that.

I'm currently on the best setup for autocross and absolutely love to drive my car, winter setup has 225/45/17 high performance all seasons (Khumo Ecsta 4X) on Ion redline wheels (17x7) so it's still fun and not awful in the snow and for summer I've got PF01's 18x8 with 235/40/18 with BFGoodrich g-Force Sport COMP-2 tires for summer and handles like a dream.

Ahh I saw a stretched hook too, couldn't remember. Those are some nice tires, I need some soon.

Hope to see this motor build go somewhere though. I've got everything planned out for at least 200 horse, in theory.

You picked the wrong platform then.

I remember seeing it when you first post it up, not much damage for what it went through

I was reading through that entire thread last night since I need to install tow hooks.

I don't get why he want to do it this way either and on another forum he went through the same criticism, but he's persistent that this is what he wants to do and because there is no changing his mind and he's aware of how cost inefficient this is I say let him build it only offer support and advice and see what happens. I'd love to see this completed and I hope it is but I find the chances of it being finished slim just because of the cost. He never said he would hit 12's all he said was an engine builder told him that for 40k he could probably hit 12's (I think he's just talking about what a member said on the other forum though). I'm personally going to go turbo as soon as I get the chance and it'll probably be as fast as his will ever be right away but if he wants to do it his way let him.

The 2.2 cobalt, well known worldwide for it's wide range of performance abilities.

For the money, N/A is far more work and costly to get a little bit of power. A simple M62 setup would have costed less and put down more power. But it's what he wanted to do. I drove Tom's car a couple times, that thing would die if you didn't throttle on decel in neutral. I don't know how he managed to DD it as long as he did, it would have drove me mad.
NWAE's setup was mostly reliant on the stage 2 cam's and the underdrive pully for that last push from 165 or so to 180.

Car was a pain in the ass most of the time. I drove it on the street and at the track. That said, I'm sure he's far happier with his Audi now.

I thought he was just doing that to essentially claim to be the most powerful NA cobalt.

He met his goals. Have to give him credit. Now it's someone elses turn to up the bar.

Let him buy custom pistons with a higher compression and see where this goes he's already been planning it for a while now but I hope it actually gets done. I was the first to be an ass on the other site and keep saying not to do it but now I know he won't change his mind and this is what he is doing if anything at all.

Weirdly that is a goal I would try to break given the money. To have a 200whp NA cobalt. Idk why but that just sounds desirable.

He traded the S4 for a Q7. Misses having a project/fun car.
