unless your just goin for sound then just gettin a weld on muffler isnt gonna help performance much.

well go magnaflow weld on but at least get em to run 2.5 pipin from the down pipe so you'll at least have a good a good size pipin on it and that'll be good for when or if you decide to get an aftermarket header and down pipe later on.

it will help you out performance wise just as much as a catback if u have a new muffler put in..just buy mandrel bent piping have them use that for the part that goes over axle..thats it...and you good..if the crush bend it it would probly be worse than the stock piping..mine definetly was

when i said it wont help performance wise i meant if you only have the stock muffler cut off and a new one welded on. that wont help any. if you have new pipin ran with the new muffler then yes it is the same as havin a catback.

Why not just buy an SS SC catback, and weld a muffler to that, I think that would be your best bet.

i had a magnaflow one on my stock one before i got any exhaust, mine wasnt a muffler muffler, more like a straight pipe like those the camaro's would use as tipe, straight thru pipe, bought it for like 40 bucks at pep boys, welded it on, sounded baddass, had that WRX rumble to it...

Just pick up a cheap glass pack for the time being until you can get a badass catback
