Thumbs down my cobalt took a poop

my poor lil 2.2 l61 sc blew a head gasket:/ ]

i was running 12 psi on stock internals for maybe 800-1000 miles
poor son of a bitch started smoking under a full throttle pull thru 2nd gear so i brought it home and when in park it idled like ****.

when i checked the dip stick it was like mud. (was mixed with the coolent)

blah blah blah
my car needs a new motor and this polished m62 is going up for sale no more boost for me its been a very short and expensive ride

Gotta pay to play,That's what happens when you push a stock motor with something it wasn't designed for.Just change the head gasket,***** easy as hell to do.
I'm on 13 and just waiting for the pop.

Drain oil ASAP

Sorry to hear. Just run a little less boost and throw in a new head gasket and your good to go. Interesting the gasket let go on you...I thought they were good for a lot more.

No doubt. I'm not waiting around for **** to go boom on me though...I have forged parts waiting to go in a few weeks. I am only running 8-9psi though...won't be doing 12-14psi till after I am built.

its not expensive to fix if you can do the work yourself, head gaskets are cheap

this time around throw some head studs in and you shouldn't have to worry about the head lifting

head gasket is an easy enough fix. get arp studs and take your time with timing her and you'll be just fine.

interested in that blower should you decide to go ahead with the sell.
