Need some quick answers plz

I recently bought a 2006 cobalt ss/sc that already has gm stage 2 kit on it. I work with this guy that is a big ford/mustang guy basically anything that's not v8 is rice to him. I've had a ls I modded for awhile till I traded it in for the ss/sc and have read quite a bit about the ss/sc to. He say stock it at about 180whp and I've told him gm underated it and he dosn't believe it lol. Just wondering what a stock cobalt ss/sc is at about and with stage 2 where should it be? I've raced new gti's, wrx, srt-4, z28, mazda 6 speed all sorts of cars from rolls and most of the time I have a couple people in my car, so I have to be over 200whp he thinks im at with stage 2, just wanna be able to show him this thrad. Going to get dyno soon, thx

sry I put this in wrong section, don't know how to move

stock i was like 215whp. gm stage 2 + 2.80 pulley + filter i put down 263whp. with gm stg2 + 2.80 + filter + 45 wet shot i put down 307whp/302torque. now i bumped to a 75shot and around 340whp/360torque.

also i ran 14.535 @ 98 bone stock with less than 200 miles on the car. then ran 13.8 with gm stage 2 + 2.80 + drop in filter. then ran 13.4 @ 109mph on street tires on the 45shot setup still on gm stage 2 tune. once i fix my tune with the 75shot i should be a high 12 easily.

ur in the wrong thread if u have a 2.0 ss/sc. also if he don't believe u just click at the vid in my sig and say hows that for a cobalt with about 1 grand in parts doing? i have barely any parts on my car and got the header+dp used for $300 shipped so my car with the amount of money it has into it moves. you could copy the same setup and be really quick and distroy most the guys from a roll that you race now. check out the vid in my sig then my other ones on youtube.

idk it's a low reading dyno. my car was always a freak. i put down 309whp/321torque with low timing and 10.4 afr on a mustang dyno at tune time performance mustang dyno that is a heart breaker and reads supper low.

yeah. i have all my 1/4 sheets. dyno graphs. everything i've kept with this car along with every stock part to put it back to normal one day if i sell it eventually. lol

got well over 300whp on the bottle and just working on tuning the car then i'll get around to the track. minor set backs with the spec stg2+ clutch since it's garbage and didn't hold down my power but whatever i have a 6 puck custom clutch now so i will be worrying about that. probably just the axels or something since i am on stock motor mounts and no anti-wheel hop mods or motor mounts or upgraded axels or anything. lol

SOLID! get me on that dyno i'll make 380whp/400+ torque look real easy lol

doesn't matter no one should bug you or get pissed. everyone goes on a different dyno. all dyno's are different. most mustang dyno's read low or normal and dyno jets read higher. the end /period. only way to show how much power ur car has would be to go film it from a roll like 40mph- 100 something and see how long it takes and then see whose car has more actual ***** from a roll. you can't go wrong with that method. if u wanted to race someone just take a vid of u running 40-120mph. then make them go do that with the same camera and on a straight road that's flat or of the same type and see who is really faster or which car has more *****.

lol dyno's around my area i can make 310whp or go to another one and make 340whp... then there is another one all fucked up calibrations where i can make 370whp.

whose to say what is acurate? whose to say mustang's are more acurate or dyno jets are more calibrated? it really doesn't matter at the end of the day your car can have 340whp and my car i can go dyno on a mustang dyno and i only put down 310whp but still romp you from a roll on the highway. which would mean i am faster and the dyno numbers don't mean much. i've tested this theory out multiple times. i've done exhausts test with this car. never bothered doing dyno proven results b/c if it's the same day and i go do a pull with the same cars and switching up dp's or exhausts you can do the same mph roll and figure out what is better or what actually gives u gains.

*i have done tests on this car for certain things and also gone to the track 4 times and enough to know what you can do to go faster. i ran 13.4 & 13.2 on street tires on my old setup. not good tires ether just all seasons. i have no motor mounts or any mod's under the hood other than power mod's. only traction mod's would be hoosier qtp's that i finally bought and springs. other than that it's just the power mod's and always has been and always will be.

*sent you a pm with just some proof i've had. i have a lot more and ton of more street racing video's but i don't put them all up.

so whats your point??? you're still not gonna get rediculous numbers on that dyno like you think mine are lol. just ask bryan about it its the one he uses. but hey whatever you wanna think.

b/c bryan uses it makes it a low reading or perfect reading acurate dyno. i don't care if god himself goes on the dyno. it doesn't matter. i could careless about the known people. i've asked him for help but he doesn't even bother responding. i already wrote you a pm that just has some cold hard evidence. as i said dyno #'s are useless and don't mean anything to me as i have dyno'd 40whp different from one dyno to the next.

tune time performances mustang dyno the heart breaker dyno i would be pretty sure u would dyno less with that exact same setup if u were still on it, that is if u drove all the way up here to me which will never happen so it doesn't really matter and is a pointless arguement. i don't have beef with you and have no reason to argue with you. just making conversation and my own personal experience's with dyno's.

if u want to talk more we'll stay out of this guys thread cause i think both of us are muture enough to do that. talk to you in the pm's

OP, welcome to the board...I know you've been around for a couple years, but it looks like you don't post ever so welcome back. You should definitely be in the 220whp range if not a little higher with stage 2. Where are you in MN (actually in Mpls or a suburb)?

As for you bickering little babies...go start a thread in your 2.0 board. Get out of here. And I wanna know how a 40 roll to whatever is accurate in terms of power? Go run a 1/4...different cars with different parts will act differently from a roll at 40 so while you may be in the right spot power wise to go, someone else might have a better chance starting at 45...what you're saying isn't accurate at StockSS.

funny that the first link in your sig is a vid of you doing a roll from 48-100 something.

Not trying to bash.... It's just extremely ironic dude.

ok i could have swore i already posted on this thread, but it looks like you deleated the old one and started a new one. i'll repost what i said in the old thread:

stock ss/sc: 200-220whp - depending on dyno (avg. 210whp)
stage 2 ss/sc: 230-245whp - depending on dyno (avg. 235whp)

i only say the whole rolling b/c usually a roll race depends on who has more ***** engine wise. i know weight has a lot to factor in if your talking about different cars but if it's the same car and your claiming you have 304whp but takes you 15 seconds to go from 40-120 somethings wrong or your probably lieing or on a high dyno. if u have 500whp and it's taking you 12-14 seconds something is wrong.
