ok so i took the car to sears. they looked at it said the drums were cut HORRIBLE and the shoes are F'd up. they said that the guy cut the drums so bad there out of spec (spec being 9.075) so i went to the place that did the job fri. told him and he lifted the car up. i showed the mechanic the shoe and he was like o thats just a shoe its fine. im like what about the drum. he got out the tool to measure it and the shop manager told me to go up front.
he came back out and said that the drums are a tad higher of spec than normal (meaning they arent safe) but he said the'll be fine and new ones arent needed. but he said the shoes are "defective" so im going to sears and having them do the job of installing new brake shoes (better ones) new drums and flushing the system and doing it properly as the first place didnt do that. because im not paying this guy for new drums when hes the one who resurfaced them. i told him hes the one who resurfaced them so hes responsible and he responded with "they seem to be fine" so im going to bring the current shoes he installed back and demand my money back.
place shouldnt be allowed to do this type of work

Not gonna get your money back unless the shop owner is a ***** or you sue them. Or maybe just an intent to sue letter.

i already got half off the whole job bc the guy didnt know what he was doing and couldnt finish the job fri when i brought it to him.
so ill see what happens when i go there with the shitty shoes he supplied me.
im calling corprate and telling them the story how he resurfaced my drums and pretty much ruined them and knows they are higher than the spec number they are suppose to be and insists they are safe, and wont do anything about it.
im going to get an offical reading when they measure them and im going to see just how bad he really did cut them. because by the way sears was telling me it was bad

good to hear you got your money back be careful with aftermarket drums most of the time there out of round and need a skim on the lathe
