I got a new xtc 2.5 dp put on i love the sound but i still a little bit raspy i guess that it needs a couple of days for the high flow cat to break in.
my setup now is dc sports header xtc dp and dc sports cat back

 

Meh, rasp is just par for the course on these cars. Can you feel a difference with the downpipe?

 

a little bit only had it on for a day i will post up this weekend about the sound and the power gains

 

how's the xtc downpipe? and what made you go with the 2.5 instead of the 3, cause i see alot of people went with the 2.5, is it because of fit meant issues or just preference?

 

The 2.5" will keep the exhaust gas velocity up. We really don't even need to go that big with the 2.2 in its mostly stock configuration.

i love the downpipe the sound is great not very raspy anymore just back to the old deep sound with the dc sports exhaust and is it normal for it to so called gargle like a srt4 does

also IIRC the DC sport exhaust doesn't have a resonator...might want to fix that.

i have a high flow cat
the dc sports exhaust is so sick that it is the only exhaust that i will ever have on my cobalt and you can not beat the sound
does yours gargle mine gargles like a bitch and i love it!!!!

 

YES. just the sound alone, makes me jump up and go run an errand. And IT LOOKS ******* amazing and unique.
Ive been trying to tell everyone, but they want that them overpriced marketed i can make ur car fast exhausts.. ugg. I almost bought into a flowmaster. thank god i went with my gut..

 

i did not like the xtc dp. too raspy. but really any dp will do it.

 

i have a custom 2.25 inch catback with obx-r muffler and its deep...no reasp at all.and mine gargles too.its bad ass.i call it "gettin my srt-4 on"lol

 

yep us modded 2.2s are getting are gargle on and people think damn listen at that srt4 and then oh wait it is just a cobalt with a nice ass exhaust
