who sells cams? how much do they run for? how much HP gain? and no tuning would be needed right?

Get stage 1 Comp Cams($500), neutral balance shafts($300) and tuned by SCT($400)

TurboTechRacing has 5 different types of cames for our cars. Stage 1-3 and Turbo/SC cams. if you are definitely getting a tune, go stage 2 cams.

SCT just released support for the 05-06 E16a cobalts. Look down the 2.2 Mod section, you will see a thread with garretts turbo kit that was just released. That will answer all your questions about SCT. You have to take your car to one of their shops and they will tune it. Go to their website and do a dealer search.

Cams and a tune would be the biggest gain in HP. Neutral shafts would be a great thing to do with it as well. Thats what i would do to my engine if i was staying NA, but im not =P

A GOOD tune is a worthy investment . Rob charged me 200 bucks with free re-tunes .

BTW ...I dunno if this is consistent with all the CA headers , I have not paid attention . I installed one on a 2006 SS/SC , and I was amazed at what pos this is . This header would not seal and the collector is as small as stock peehole collector in the manifold . If you were gonna buy that , I would just save the hassle headers can create(if u dont get it ceramic coated they make engine bay extremely hot) and use the GM extrude honed manifold . Not baggin on CA as a whole , this particular header was just dumpter materiel imo .
so the GM exhaust manifold is better?

after seeing the CA header collector and seeing the gains other members got from the GM mani , I couldnt possibly see how the GM mani could make less hp with a good DP over the CA header .
