well u made your engine breath better witch is good . so no u have to choose n/a route or f/i route . you can stayt with n/a and add cams ,2.4 maniold , 2.4 tb , shaved head , better valve terrain , tune those will all help u get more power . if u go f/i you can go supercharger off a lsj engine , or turbo , there sites that sell them for a pretty penny price . any of these will bring ur power up , rember internals are good till 250 tq

2.4 intake and throttle body. Can be done for under $200 if you can find the parts in a junk yard.

honestly IMO...

save your money, trying to mod at 2.2 is just pointless, unless you are going with a full build and even then it still doesn't make too much HP

what you have now is pretty much all you need, if you want more power you lookin at 1-1.5k to get to roughly 200....not worth it IMO I know a kid that spent roughtly 1.4k or so and only made 210hp then his motor blew

like I said before save your money and do something that you can get some bang for your buck

HP per $ is probably 3 times more expensive on the 2.2 than the 2.0

come on man, dont start tryin to down the 2.2's all that does is lead to wars. i understand its your own opinion but not everyone can afford a SS reason being is the insurance will surely go up, and car payments may even go up, or they got the LS's for a DD and the performance bug hit them. honestly to me, i rather fork out the money and make a sleeper then get someone people already know is fast.

You've got some boltons, i'd personally make the car handle better and look good. I'd invest the $1,000 into some coilovers. Do it the right way and never worry about it. Drop that bitch 3" and have fun in the twisties.

Or

Nitrous kit + Sportlines/Tenzo's/Ksport Springs

Or

Sportlines/Tenzo's/Ksport Springs + RK Sport Lip Kit

this is my point....if you can't afford and SS or just don't have one...why would you spend 1k+ on it to try and make it like one?

I am trying to help him out...he did bring up a good point if you want to she some suspension work done, that would probably be your best. going for performance beyond what you have done will just cause headaches and a lof of money to get some power

as for the sleeper thing...yea i love it, i have kept mine stock apperance as much as possible to let people think...and i 'get on it' at only just over half or so throttle to make me look like im trying hard and slow...

i basically bait people...kinda fun not gonna lie...

but im not trying to bash/start fights w/e you wanna call it, just trying to help someone make a payment they wont regret

noone is tryin to make it an a SS, they are just tryin to make a decently quick car that they can appreciate. me turboing my car is by no means tryin to copy the SS and im sure the same goes with everyone else. but i do agree wit you, baiting people is fun as ****. did wit my turbocharged 92 integra.

PS im not tryin to bash or fight either, im just making statements

How much am I looking for pricewise when it comes to coilovers an ksport the best way to go? Also, worth getting it done at the dealership or just find a better place?

Also, am I just blind/dumb or are chips really not possible to find for Ecotecs?

D2, Megan, Ksport, BC are all owned by the same Tiwain company, they are rebadged but are pretty similar.

I've seen Megans on ebay for $829.99 make an offer so you might be able to get them for $775 or so which is a pretty solid price.
