Thumbs up NGK spark plugs

I bought a set of NGK Laser Iridium ILTR5C11 plugs. This is prolly a dumb question, but do i keep them at the gap they come with (.044"), or do i gap them to the stock gap(.040"). Also considering the mods i have is it better to have a smaller or bigger gap?

i think you are going to get some different answers here. i myself am not certain about this kind of thing. but from what i have gathered the best plugs are the stock plugs. so a change in plug brand would be useless. but if they work, more power to you man. just saying that i will be running stock plugs for the life of this car.

back to the topuc, i still don't know...

.044 to .040 is perfect for na stock cars. Your fine keeping them where its at. You really just need to worry about gap when you go FI or nitrous.

you will never notice a difference between .040 and .044... the proper way to gap iridium plugs is to measure with a tool, then adjust the plug with a small pair of needle nose pliers..

Your fine at .040 dude. Get new springs and spin to 7500, and eventually some 11:1 pistons if you want to go high compression. Should make for an even faster car.

Update: I gapped them at .040". It runs perfect! My air/fuel ratio is even more stable/efficient. And like NWAE said, "I am not a regular N/A car"!!! Me and him and a few others on this site are running cams. Which is why I was wondering what gap to stick with, anyhow i just did the stock gap, which is .040"
