Nitrous Spark Plug

Anyone have any suggestions for spark plugs for my 2.2 on an 85 wet shot?

Not really sure what I need yet, but i figured I'd go pick a set up and install them while my kit is in the mail

Check out NGK, they have a plug that is a step colder than what you have.

FYI: There are no such things as nitrous spark plugs. Reason people change their spark plugs is to get a colder heat range spark plug to prevent likeliness of detonation occuring.

Yeah I'm aware of that, lol. I just know some spark plugs are more suited for certain applications

I was looking at the NGK LTR7IX-11's but they're 13 bucks a pop at Adv Auto parts

Will autolite 103's work? Anyone know if that's cold enough?

I think i might only go one step colder though. I think two steps colder is too far for a daily driver with ocassional boost

i dont think ud have much of a problem, have had mine in for months in this freaken cold winter and have checked the plugs not long ago and they are fine..
1 step you should be fine.. only reason i didnt take mine out is i have bought standard iridium ix's..

i prefer the iridium ixs because of the smoothness of engine feel.. kinda hard to explain, but ya probably get my point...

which kit did ya go with?? try the step 1 colder, you should be fine.. if not take them back, i no most shops told me if they didnt work they would exchange them, happened with my one set of plugs that werent gonna work right after reading about coil plug killing.. cough +4 on 06 2.2 cough

your gonna run 85shot?? thats gonna be a lot of force there

I've got a nitrous express kit.

I might go with BKR6E's because they are almost half the price

either should be fine as long as it aint platinum as you dont want shavings to come off..

the bkr is the iridium ones right.. i no they aint the ix's..

the NX kit, those are nice.. I thought about doing there intercooler kit when i run turbo..

if your really on a stump, call ngk, i talked to them before i did mine, and there tech department people are really cool to talk with and know quite a bit about our car and ignition system..

Ya gotta post pics when your done of the NX kit, trunk pics and all the other crap..

you going to run a window switch or anything?? or just the standard WOT one?

I think I'm going to get BKR6E's instead of the 7E's because I dont plan on using nitrous that often and I dont want plugs fouling out on me or a crappy running engine.

Until I can afford a TPS switch I'm going to run pushbutton.

The setup won't be much to look at since it's goin to be sstealth setup. The bottle is going into a locked toolbox, and all visible nitrous and fuel lines will be covered with vacuum hoses, with the nozzle on the bottom side of the intake

Yeah the toolbox is slightly too short, by an inch, so I'm going to cut out a notch so the valve and pressure gauge sticks out the end

I've also got a big ass padlock to keep prying eyes away
