No start problem

I know i dont have a cobalt... But its still a 2.2 eco

Anyway the other day my bottle heater drained my batt. I tryed jumping it, push starting on 1, 2 and R, and it gave me a "SES" and"PRW STR" on the milage screen... And it wont even click to turn over (when i use the key), even when hooked up to another car. So i took it up to work and used a professional battery charger, that didnt help. I tryied a, pass lock, on the car and no go. I just changed the ingniton switch, and swaped the relay for a diff one, and still no go. I supplied power directly to the started and it clicks and it trys to turn it over but it stops as soon as it does and the motor dies. Anyone know whats up?

Eliminate the causes one at a time. You drained the battery, so check the battery. Remove it from the car and have it charged and load tested out of the car. Then reinstall it find out what else you left besides the bottle heater. Then if you still have a problem, post again.

I did all that last week, i checked all the fuses, checked the relays, did a load test on the batt (after unhooking+recharging for many hours), and unhooked the nitrous systems power. This week i rechecked the relay, and put in a new igniton switch. I tried push starting it today, and no luck even with the new ign switch.

what else can i try?

You say you don't have a Cobalt. What do you have?

I ask because I believe you may have damaged your ECM when you tried jumping it due to the power steering fail indication.

Never mind, I see you have an Ion with the L61 engine, which means you probably have the E16a ECM. That ECM controls your power steering, and everything that has to do with your engine. It is probably damaged.

No, that does not include your BCM. Thats a completely different part. Just the ECM.

Power steering is controlled by the ECM. So if the ECM is shot, so is the steering.

Jumping a dead car can cause this issue in certain circumstances. I'm not saying I know its the problem, you need to get it checked.
