Oil and Spark Plug Questions...

Ok so I have a few questions...
How often do you change your oil, for those of you that are using synthetic?
What would be the best spark plugs to use in the 2.2?
How often do you think I should change the plugs out?

... I was going by the 3000 mile rule for oil, and the 6 month rule for plugs. I was using the delco plugs i think, and Castrol 5w-30 regular motor oil... Yester I started using Mobil 1 Synthethic, and i was looking for any ideas as to what plugs I should use?

your car should tell you the oil life percentage. if not, you're right to use the 3000 miles rule for the oil, it doesn't hurt to change your oil more frequently than that though. as for plugs, i've never heard the 6 month rule personally, but i doubt its that often, unless you drive really hard, or have a custom tune that causes you to run a little rich/lean.

ok well i've been told that while running sythetic, that we can run it longer in the engine then normal oil, so i was wondering how long people are going with out changing their oil.

and as far as upgraded plugs what do you guys suggest i use?

i've heard that too, but the thing is, my SS/SC came from the factory with synthetic, and it doesn't really matter, the sensors just pick up contaminates and carbon buildup in the oil.

as far as upgraded plugs, im sure theres a thread somewhere dedicated to plugs, and what gaps have what benefit.

rule of thumb <gap, the bigger the spark, and the more complete burn you'll have, but at the same time you don't want to do anything too extrem.

I've gone 7800 on regular dino oil. It's really no big deal.

No, it uses a fancy math algorythm based on mileage, RPMs, temps, how many cold starts and how much time spent idling, etc.
