Old rings on new wiseco pistons?

Hi guys,

I've got a question: GM build book says you can swap your old pistonrings over to the new wiseco pistons and no bore/hone is needed (where talking a 25k mile engine).

Is this true and has anyone of you guys did this?

Heard so many horrorstories over here (Europe) about boring a L61 (z22se) block...

Thanx

Daniel

If you have s good machinest you will be fine. I would never use stock used rings on aftermarket pistons

Got another question to add...

I was told by a machinist that he wouldn't overbore the stock sleeves for a used L61 block?
Is it wrong in doing so?

anytime you overbore your taking material away. if the motor wasent blown and you can hone it hone it and use stock displacement pistons.
