Omg!!!

So i just got done installing my 2.4l mani and damn does that thing work well and sound great. but one question, i have a 07 and i seen in other trends that the 07s dont need the adapter plat that comes with it, is this true, cause i left it in would there be any gains to taking it back out? cause all i would have to do is remove the T/B. Oh and one more question, i found a site that has headers and downpipe combos. and the d/p come with or with out a cat, and of coarse the one with the cat is more$$$. would there be any problem with going with a catless d/p?

going catless will make it alot louder. and if your state has emissions testing you will fail. also your cel will be on unless you dummy it somehow

You don't need the adapter plate on. Did mine today and it was harder than I thought. I didn't think I was going to have to make the MAP sensor hole bigger plus the old manifold took a long time to come out. And wow the car does pull a lot harder, especially on highway/tollroads. Feels like a 20hp increase.

And about the DP, I would kep your factory cat on for alot of reasons. Without it you will throw a code plus your car gets mixed signals about the afr. Second, it will be much louder, like ricer loud. third, you will notice no gains in power unless it is SC or TC.

That's not true at all...there are gains with a LSJ or aftermarket DP. It's a WHOLE lot better than that little stock DP. As far as codes go, some will throw codes, but not all do. Of course it's going to be louder, but not horribly loud...it's a larger/freer flowing piece.

I don't know where you got the info about no gains unless you're FI...

haha wow thats funny.. i didnt see you tonight. but the cops were worse than last night.

i was sitting in the parking lot where all the cars meet and there was a mustang with at least 20s and he did a small burnout and there was a cop passing on 31. the cop pulled the mustang over right infront of everybody and if thats not embarassing enough, both the driver and passenger get arrested. funny stuff
