Options....

Ok, so I have been getting a lot of heat lately for my decision to save up for the ZZP turbo kit. Many of my friends, and some people on this site have been trying to talk me out of turboing my 2.2.... They basically say its not worth it or I dont know what I'm getting myself into. So, I just wanna get a general idea of what people think...

A little background info. I'm 17, Only expenses I have are my phone bill, insurance, and gas. I have freinds that are willing to help with whatever I need done, so I dont really have to worry about installation costs.

My car as it stands now:

Option 1:
ZZP Stage 1 turbo kit, cat back, tune, maybe a front lip

Option 2:
Coilovers, Roof rack (I go snowboarding a lot...), front lip, maybe a cat-back.

Option 3:
Coilovers, dope wheels, front lip.

Forgot to add the pole.... damnit. Just post your opinions I guess.

you can pm me and ask questions as you need. I will tell you, this isnt a cake walk, this isnt something to take lightly. You need to be prepared, if ur safe you will be ok. always watch ur oil, and change when ur supposed to.

OPTION 2!

Although I am biased due to my autox addiction. It depends what you are in to, wanna go fast in a straight line or learn skills taking turns? Do you wanna change the apearance(per option 3) or do you wanna do mainly performance mods?

Do you plan on moving out when you go to college? If you install these on your car and they happen to break or your wreck them or a turbo kit wrecks the car you wont have money to afford to fix it and then you wont even have a car to drive. I am 17 to. I went through the options. Saving your money is the best one. Look at your car and then look at all your friends cars and the cars kids at your school drive. I bet they aren't half as nice as yours. Just stick with what you got and save for something more reliable with power from the factory. In the end though its you decision so just make sure you know what you are getting youself into before you jump into a turbo kit.

Nah I feel you 100% with saving, but I feel that now is the time to have fun in life, and I really dont want to grow up too fast. I donno, it's just that most of my friends are huge car heads and playing with cars is something we just do. I want to save up for a nicer car, but I want to wait another 5-6 years and give my car to my brother when he gets his liscense, then buy something. 5-6 is a long time to wait for power XD.

And by the looks of most of your threads, it looks like your planning on going turbo/sc too.... contradicting much?

it all depends on how much money you have or are willing to spend.. i would go with option 2 or 3 because the turbo kit would be awesome, but it costs alot

everyone and there mothers gonna come in here oooooooooooooh what if..... playiing out the apocolyps. bunch of jag, your money do what YOU want. If i did what everyone else wanted i wouldve never learned what i did about cars, and how to work on them thats gonna be somethign youll have for the rest of your life. You know what if you get a half decent job, the whole oooooohhhhhemmmgeeee what if ur ******* motor blows????>>FDFD? ya know what? theres ****** ecotecs swimming around out there with almost no miles on them for $400, if the kids got half a ****** brain he can swap it in a weekend with some buddies. get real people, dont preach to this kid about this ****, this is an experiance he will always carry with him and can share with his kids some day.

and seriously if he maintains it, this car will last boosted. I beat the ******* crap outta my car, 20 bottles of nitrous, a year at 16psi on the m62, and 6months on a gt2861rs at 12psi. Guess what? NOT ONE HICCUP.

OPtion 17:

ZZP Kit, and necessary bits, and roof rack.

Roof racks are all the rage in South Jersey......all the f*cking honda kids run them. No ski or bike holders, just the rack with cross bars and air defflector........ghey.
