pacesetter header

i have the pacesetter catback and i want to get the header but is it pointless to buy the header without a high flow cat?

Its not pointless at all, but getting an aftermarket downpipe with a high flow cat will definately help out.

Don't worry about that. The exhaust parts made for the cobalt are universal. From the header on back, any system will fit any trim of cobalt. My Vibrant header/dp setup says its for the 2.0, but it fits mine just fine.

if you get the pacesetter header you will need to buy the dp from exhaust depot. if you dont you will have to have one welded to fit

If you get a shorty header like the one from Cobalt Addiction, you can use the stock downpipe without any welding.

well if you have the pacesetter exhaust you have no resonator i believe, the exhaust depot dp removes the cat and replaces it with a resonator, so im not sure, just have an extra resonator welded onto your exhaust if you think its too loud

It is ideal to have a Header, High Flow Cat, and a cat back exhuast. However you dont need to do all 3, but it would be a good idea, for max power to do all 3.
