Possible?
So i posted a thread a week ago about starting my car when it wasnt timed properly a friend gave me a few things to do to make sure that the valves werent bent or anything which came up to be good. Leakdown test held pressure, and the measurements for the valve stems to the top of the head were good. what exactly r the odds that nothing was broke i mean the car was only on for about 2-4 secs. so is this possible?

if all the measurements and pressures/leakage were okay than its most likely okay. Only way to check without taking head off (or using expensive equipment) is to start it up. If its now timed properly and ok, all will be good. If its time properly and you bent valves it wont run properly. If its timed properly and all the checks were good youre not gonna hurt it by running it to see if its healthy.
it hasnt been timed yet its being taking to chevrolet next week..but the measurements and leakdown test were all fine i just wanted to know ur opinions on wheather or not it will be fine or not before i spend 54.00 to tow there and the 324.76 to have it timed

Dude, it is fine, If it sounds normal there is no bent valve, it will run like poo if the valves are bent even a little and if it is the exhaust side you will probably have a dead cylinder, run it for a minute, drive it around the block a little, get a few miles on it and check your spark plugs(asuming they were clean before) then do a little research on how a spark plug should look. White/chalky is lean, carbon buildup(black/chalky) is rich, black goo is burning oil, ect. If you got a dead cylinder it will look rich.

my car was out of time and started and ran for a bit and nothin was wrong. i just replaced my tensioner, timed it and went on about my business. youll be alright
so they opened it up and didnt' like the way it looked so they went ahead and did a head swap with new valves and everything plus my exhaust cam was screwed up somehow but good thing thou no cost to me apparently it was under warrenty it was supposed to be around 1500-2000 so im picking it up tomoroow
