say mount the turbo, IC, run some piping. I figured one of these time before the build we could hook me oil pressure gauge up. We'll figure it out. Nothing else guess my car sits at the shop for a bit. hah

Good luck. I'll be starting my build soon, and I already have run into problems.

Having all the parts in your floor and actually taking the time to custom do everything takes longer than expected.

You will run into fitment issues somewhere, and that's where you gotta be creative. Where are your injectors? You're going to need larger injectors for that build.

As far as where to get oil, most people drill into the back of the block. You can look through the garrett manual if you want the exact location. I hope it goes smooth, your access to a shop will help greatly.

Also, how are you going to fit the turbo DP? You'll probably end up having to have one made so your friend could probably help you weld that. You'll need the flanges to match it all up.

hey someone else starting a build too good luck you need any help with lines, pipin ideas etc i know pretty much how every line will need to be routed, and what parts are needed lol, the ebay turbo is hit or miss, the intercooler is fine, the 2.4 manifold is fine too, althought not recommended if your going to be pushing mid to high psi, i recommend a better one, im going with the vulcan turbo manifold, made to handle boost, check my buidl thread for production pics of it i already have mine on route

Be sure you don't cheap out on the BOV either. Get a name brand.

42lb injectors are what Vince recommended for my build, so that's what you need to be looking for.

Oh, and be sure you get the harness that comes with them.

Preston, I can sell you the 42's off my car because I for some reason see 60's in the near future.

42's are fine, im actually going with 60's, dont want to run the 42's to their limit :p and for the BOV, i say go cheap and get urself a turboxs one, proven to work time and time again from factory turbo cars, to aftermarket kits, do a quick youtube video search, loads of people showing them off

Preston even though I would love to sell you some of my parts I think it might be in your best interest to save your money. You have schooling to go through yet and you don't work per say full time.

60's are going to be too big. Vince said that there is going to be misfire issues at idle because the 60's need a pulse width higher than 1ms, and the 2.2 will be idling less that 1ms. He said he can make it work, but it will cause you to run rich at idle.

I'd go lower with 42's, you're definitely not going to max those out unless you start really upping the boost.

i know i know..what you mean.
My nitrous kit will be sold, come tax season, all that money is going into the bank untouched. Then come spring, i'll be working 3 jobs(current job, landscaping, and weekend job)
so i'll be getting some money that'll be for schooling, or whatever i decide to do. I got a spot saved at fox valley tech right now for car mechanics..so i just gotta confirm it

OK,
back to the topic ha

You guys dont think stock SS/SC injectors will work? i was thinking those would be plenty good..

JN2, i'll be definatly PMing you when im getting ready to run lines and piping..tho we've already discussed the piping.
You guys think the turboXS ones, would be fine?
theres a local that has a evo 9 one for a hundred he'd sell me..think that'd do?

Also, going to pick up my garret t25 today, along with my downpipe.
then making some calls to try and sell my ebay turbo.

Shaft play on a new turbo is normal. It has to have some wobble, but like you said not a whole lot.

I'm just gonna get a tow to a local exhaust shop and get mine made out of light steel. No use paying a lot for custom SS.
